Last year, chillwave producer Mndsgn released his fourth album Snaxx, featuring guests Jon Bap, Asal Hazel and Pink Sifuu. Since, he's collaborated with DJ and songwriter Sofie on chilled jam 'Abeja', and now he's just released a new single, which is actually a cover of Sofie's 'Truth of the Matter'. In true Mndsgn style, the song uses an analogue drum beat, and the bass line is one of the most impressive elements. His version uses both piano and synth pads which add a rich, velvety sound. At times, his vocal is stacked in a jazzy harmony which brings it away from its poppy disposition. Mndsgn's 'Truth of the Matter' is a sweet and nostalgic cover. -Ellie Rose-Davies
